Lets do this.

Here we are folks. Another year, another E3. And another year where I am once again left with no news cover, so once again I am making the most out of the situation by doing more crap this year, just as I did last year. Here’s how it’ll go.

@Project_Boom: It should go without saying, but Boom will have all the latest from E3 if you’re unable to catch a livestream, from Microsoft tonight to Sony on Tuesday morning then Nintendo that same evening. There’ll be a few other things dropping too, so be sure to get following it if you haven’t already. It’ll be good to have you along for the ride.

@JohnnyCullen/JohnnyCullen on Vine – I did this last year and now I’m bringing it back. Whilst Boom will drop the up-to-the-second breaking news, I’ll drop the up-to-the-second snark and opinion through tweets and Vine per last year. If it’s anything like last year, there’ll be a lot of snark and a bit of marking out too (hello, Mirror’s Edge).

Right here: johnnycullen.net – Once again, you’ll see writeups of opinion pieces for all five press conferences plus silly other bits and bobs post-pressers. You won’t see all of them right away or almost right away compared to last year (there’s a good reason for that as you’ll see below) but you’ll see them and others pieces here throughout the week.

However, there’s a fourth element for this year’s plans, something that only started just after last year’s show: Cullen Plays LIVE. This year, I’ll be streaming all five press conferences – Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Sony and Nintendo – along with esteemed guests. Even now at the eleventh hour, there are still some to be confirmed and I’m hoping to have names nailed down before Microsoft for Sony and Nintendo.

Countdown for Microsoft will begin┬ácounting down from 3pm and at 3:20pm(ish), there’s an hour-and-a-half compilation video I put together of some moments I’ve picked out from E3 history this decade or so. It’s a very shit video put together, but humour it: there’s some really good moments in there – MGS2’s E3 2000 trailer, The Legend of Zelda E3 2004 reaction, Final Fantasy XIII’s betrayalton in 2008 and Watch Dogs’ surprise reveal in 2012, to name a few. Oh and last year’s massacre of Microsoft by one Jack Tretton.

Then at 5pm, we will be live to talk through what we expect for Microsoft for half an hour before the main event at 5:30pm BST. After the show raps at 7pm BST, we’ll be on air for another 15-20 minutes before a few minutes break before coming back for EA at 7:30pm.

Posts for all four streams today have been prepped and they’ll go live about an hour before each press conference happens.

And in case you missed it, I wrote a guide on what to expect for all five press conferences here. Check it out, dawg.

Otherwise, see you on the other side. E3, it’s gonna be a mother… you know what.
